Our students participated in the “Kunhua Cup” Inter-School Penmanship Competition alongside seven other schools in term 3. All 16 student representatives from our school achieved remarkable results, securing First, Second, and Third Place awards!

Warmest congratulations to all our prize winners—your hard work and attention to detail have truly paid off! We also extend our sincere gratitude to our teaching staff for their dedicated guidance and to our parents for their ongoing support.

中国驻布里斯班总领馆的中秋关怀 | Mid-Autumn Festival Care from the Consulate-General

在中秋佳节到来之际，中国驻布里斯班总领馆特意为我校全体教师送上了节日月饼，转达对社区中文学校教职员工的关怀与慰问。吴老师代表图文巴中文学校在总领馆举办的中秋招待会上与新任总领事孙朝阳和副总领事李素云合影留念。

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane generously presented festive mooncakes to our teaching staff, expressing their sincere appreciation and care for community language educators. Ms Wu, representing the Toowoomba Chinese Language School, was photographed with the new Consul-General, Mr Sun Chaoyang, and Deputy Consul-General, Ms Li Suyun, at the Mid-Autumn Festival reception hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General.

  On 22 November (Sunday), our school will host the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) Level 3 exam. We encourage eligible students to participate, taking this opportunity to benchmark their language proficiency and consolidate their learning.Detailed examination information and registration forms have been emailed to all related parents. • HSK 3.0 师资培训 | HSK 3.0 Teacher Training:
  我校教师已顺利完成 HSK 3.0 专项培训，深入掌握了新版 HSK 考试的方向要求与语言综合应用能力的培养标准。
  Our teaching team has successfully completed the HSK 3.0 training program, ensuring our curriculum remains fully aligned with the updated standards and practical competency requirements of the new HSK framework.

7. 第三学期班级教学花絮回顾 | Term 3 Class Highlights

B 班 | Class B

B班本学期重点学习了成语故事《守株待兔》、《刻舟求剑》以及古诗《游子吟》和《江雪》。鉴于该班学生中文基础扎实，教学全面覆盖了“听、说、读、写、译”五大语言要素。课程特别引导学生尝试用英文解释成语及古诗内涵，在巩固听说读写的基础上，进一步强化了语言的双向应用能力，完美契合了 HSK 3.0 对新时期中文应用能力的要求，为深化中文理解与运用奠定了坚实基础。

Class B focused on classical idioms (Waiting for a Rabbit, Notching the Boat to Find the Sword) and poetry (Song of the Wandering Son, River Snow). Given the class’s strong language background, lessons covered all five key skill areas: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation. Students were guided to explain idiom meanings and poetic concepts in English, building practical bilingual communication skills that fully meet HSK 3.0 standard requirements.

C 班 | Class C

C班顺利完成了中文第三册的教学，重点精读了《小猫钓鱼》与《狼来了》，并开启了第四册第一课《给爷爷的信》。

在教学活动中，学生们通过“句子排序”与“字卡组合”等合作形式重组课文，深化对语序与汉字结构的认识。完成第三册学习后，班级开展了“你演我猜”游戏，通过肢体语言复习课文内容，寓教于乐。此外，学生们积极参与了首届中文书法比赛，并在父亲节期间制作了中文主题手工作品，用简单的中文向父亲表达感恩。本学期学生在朗读、识字、书写及口语表达上均有显著进步，课堂互动更加自信主动。

Class C successfully completed Book 3—focusing on stories like The Kitten Goes Fishing and The Boy Who Cried Wolf—and commenced Book 4 with A Letter to Grandpa. Students engaged in sentence-reordering and character-card group activities to reinforce grammar and syntax. To conclude Book 3, the class held a charades activity to review lessons interactively. Students also participated in the school’s penmanship competition and created handmade Father’s Day cards featuring Chinese greetings. Marked progress was demonstrated in reading fluency, character recognition, and spontaneous spoken Chinese.

E 班 | Class E

E班围绕以下三个核心模块展开教学Class E targeted three primary learning domains:

1. 朗读背诵： 注重有感情地朗读，强调语音、语调及核心词汇，通过培养语感帮助学生理解篇章大意。Expressive Reading: Emphasis on pronunciation, intonation, and key vocabulary to enhance language intuition and text comprehension.
2. 字词掌握： 除基础词汇外，重点训练“多音字”与“同音字”的辨析。结合具象图片与语境创设，通过“模仿造句、看图说话、听听画画、看图写词”等多元练习，促进学生由“被动理解”向“主动输出”转变。Vocabulary & Kanji Mastery: Structured practice distinguishing homophones and polyphonic characters. Utilizing contextual prompts and images, interactive tasks (e.g., picture description, dictation-drawing) guided students from passive comprehension to active expression.
3. 自然认知： 引导学生观察自然现象，将日常表达延伸至自然科学类词汇的书面与口头描述。
   同时，本学期班级针对11月份的 YCT 考试开展了核心词汇打卡及模拟测试训练Observational Language: Encouraging students to describe natural phenomena using targeted Chinese vocabulary.
   Additionally, students routinely reviewed core YCT vocabulary and completed mock practice tests in preparation for the upcoming November examination.

F 班 | Class F

在刚过去的第三学期里，F班的小朋友们表现非常出色！全班同学不仅熟读了四篇课文，掌握了3个核心句型及15个重点生字，在“听、说、读、写”四个维度上均取得了全面进步。不少同学不仅能流畅背诵课文、准确朗读长句，还能灵活运用所学句型举一反三、独立造句。看到孩子们中文能力的飞跃，我们感到无比骄傲！此外，我们在课堂中融入了丰富的趣味互动，极大地提升了孩子们的参与度，帮助大家在轻松愉快的氛围中加深记忆、巩固所学。

During the term just passed (Term 3), our Class F students performed absolutely brilliantly! Together, the class mastered four reading texts, 3 core sentence structures, and 15 key characters, making well-rounded progress across all four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Many students can now recite texts smoothly, read long sentences accurately, and adapt key sentence patterns with great flexibility to create their own sentences. Seeing such fantastic growth in their Chinese proficiency fills us with immense pride! On top of that, we incorporated plenty of fun interactive classroom activities to boost student engagement, ensuring learning is both memorable and enjoyable.

在刚刚过去的第二学期中，图文巴中文学校紧密围绕“母亲节”和“端午节”等中华传统节日，将语言教学与文化体验深度融合，开展了一系列富有成效且精彩纷呈的课堂活动。

During Term 2, our curriculum seamlessly integrated language acquisition with cultural immersion through meaningful celebrations of traditional festivals, including Mother’s Day and the Dragon Boat Festival.

班级教学集锦 | Class Summaries

💡 B班：前沿视野，云游神州 (Class B: Immersive Culture)

鉴于B班同学优秀的中文基础，本学期学校特别引进了中国华文教育基金会主办的“实景课堂”。该项目采用先进的“外景现场直播 + 内景互动教学”双师模式，打破了传统课本的局限，把中国的大好河山与文化遗产实时呈现在大洋彼岸的荧幕上。孩子们跟着国内的名师“云游”华夏，在身临其境的高清互动中不仅锻炼了听力口语，更极大地拓宽了文化视野。

Given the advanced proficiency of Class B, we introduced the prestigious “Live-Scene Classroom” project this term. Utilizing a pioneering dual-teacher model combining live on-site broadcasts with interactive studio teaching, this project brought China’s cultural heritage and scenic landmarks directly to our students’ screens. Wandering through history in real-time, the students embraced a highly engaging and enriching linguistic challenge.

📖 C班：读演结合，全面提升 (Class C: Reading & Performing)

本学期C班学生在听、说、读、写各方面都取得了长足的进步。不仅高效完成了《蔡伦造纸》的学习，还深入精读了《龟兔赛跑》和《小猫钓鱼》。

在《龟兔赛跑》一课中，孩子们通过音乐剧和角色扮演（Role-play）的方式，将兔子的骄傲与乌龟的坚持演绎得淋漓尽致。这种寓教于戏的方式不仅让孩子们在欢笑中掌握了重点词汇与常用句型，更深刻理解了“持之以恒”的道理，极大地增强了团队协作意识和用中文表达的自信心。

Class C students demonstrated remarkable progress across all four core language skills. They wrapped up the study of Cai Lun’s Papermaking and thoroughly explored The Tortoise and the Hare and The Kitten Goes Fishing.

Through musical theatre and role-play for The Tortoise and the Hare, students embodied the arrogance of the hare and the perseverance of the tortoise. This interactive approach not only helped them master key vocabulary and sentence structures naturally but also fostered their confidence and collaborative skills.

📝 E班：情境教学，学以致用 (Class E: Contextual Application)

E班本学期稳步推进《中文》第二册第六至八课的教学，重点攻克日常动词“是、有、会”及核心句型的运用。

在第六课《我会做的事》中，同学们能熟练运用“我会……；别……；可是……”来有条理地描述自己的日常能力（如：“我会收拾房间，可是我不会做饭”）。第七课《人有两件宝》则通过句型替换，让孩子们领悟了“双手会做工，大脑会思考”的寓意。第八课则采用问答式互动，引导孩子们用中文陈述句和疑问句来探讨自然奥秘。整体教学注重情境化，确保孩子们在真实语境中牢记并活用词汇。

Class E systematically progressed through Lessons 6 to 8 of Chinese Textbook 2, focusing on essential verbs (“to be”, “to have”, “can”) and daily vocabulary.

Students mastered core structures to describe their practical skills and limits, expanded sentences to appreciate the moral of “using both hands and brains,” and utilized declarative and interrogative sentences to explore natural phenomena. The emphasis remained on contextual learning, ensuring words were memorized and applied effectively in real-life scenarios.

🎨 F班：一笔一画，趣味启蒙 (Class F: Foundations & Creativity)

作为中文学习的启航班，F班本学期扎实攻克了《中文》第一册中的40个核心生字，包含“风、雨、云、雪、天、地”等笔画复杂的自然汉字。通过趣味写字练习与课前听写，孩子们打下了稳固的字形基础。

在素质拓展环节，学校创新推出了“天气与色彩”主题手工课。孩子们化身“天气预报员”，根据中文指令为图案涂色，并亲手制作了“天气大转盘”，将日常活动进行分类。动手动脑的手工活动让抽象的天气词汇变得触手可及。

As our foundation class, Class F firmly mastered 40 core Chinese characters from Book 1, tackling complex stroke orders like “wind, rain, cloud, snow, sky, earth.”

In their enrichment sessions, we introduced the innovative “Weather & Colours” theme. Students expressed their creativity through weather-inspired coloring and crafted interactive “Weather Wheels” to categorize recreational activities. These hands-on crafts beautifully bridged abstract vocabulary with tangible, practical use.

6. 校园文化活动集锦 | Campus Cultural Events

母亲节· 感恩有你(Mother’s Day)：

高年级的同学们怀着感恩之心，用端正的汉字为妈妈书写了真挚的感谢信与感恩卡；低年级的小朋友们则亲手制作了精美的“女王皇冠”，用稚嫩却温暖的方式表达对妈妈无限的爱。
Senior students penned heartwarming letters and cards in Chinese to express their deep gratitude, while junior students handcrafted beautiful crowns for their mothers, bringing warmth and smiles to our school families.

端午节· 文化传情(Dragon Boat Festival)：

端午佳节期间，高年级学生在聆听屈原故事后，亲手编织了寓意吉祥的五彩绳手环，在编织中体味传统之美；低年级的同学们则开展了传统折纸活动，并大声送出“端午安康”的节日祝福。

To celebrate the festival, senior students wove traditional five-color blessing bracelets after learning about Qu Yuan’s legacy. Meanwhile, junior classes engaged in themed origami crafts and learned to express the traditional greeting “Duanwu An’kang” (wishing peace and health).

B 班：跨学科思维与科技探索Class B (Interdisciplinary Thinking & Tech Exploration)

本学期，B班完成了《中文》第五册第三课《加油站》及《狼和小羊》的学习。教学重点不仅涵盖了生字、核心词汇与重点句型的掌握，更侧重于引导学生进行深度思考与批判性表达：

科技与现实： 在学习《加油站》时，学生们发挥想象力，设计了“未来加油站”与“智能汽车”，并结合当前**AI（人工智能）**的发展趋势，探讨了科技如何改变生活，使中文学习与现实世界紧密连接。

文化与实践： 同学们积极参与了校园农历新年庆典、英国汉学院专家的餐桌礼仪讲座，以及复活节主题手工活动。 通过这些寓教于乐的实践，学生在听说读写各方面均取得了长足进步，有效激发了持续学习中文的内在动力。

Students completed Lesson 3 of Textbook 5, “Gas Station” and “The Wolf and the Lamb.” Beyond vocabulary, students designed “Future Gas Stations” and “Smart Cars,” discussing how AI (Artificial Intelligence) connects Chinese learning to the real world.

C 班：先贤智慧与品格塑造Class C (Ancient Wisdom & Character Building)

C班本学期深入研读了《壶盖为什么会动》与《蔡伦造纸》。在扎实推进语言教学的同时，我们注重人文素养的培养：

榜样力量： 通过讲述瓦特与蔡伦的故事，学生不仅了解了中国“四大发明”的历史贡献，更从中汲取了“坚持梦想、勇于挑战”的精神力量。

基础夯实： 课堂坚持“每课必背、每课必测”，通过课前生字快速指认和课后巩固练习，确保识字效果稳固。

文化融入： 结合新年与复活节活动，学生在轻松的氛围中增进了对中国传统文化的认知，实现了语言能力与文化认知的双重提升。

Focused on the stories of James Watt and Cai Lun. Students learned about the “Four Great Inventions” of China and the importance of persistence. Classroom routines included “Fast Character Recognition” to ensure solid memorization.

E 班：技能突破与趣味教学Class E (Skill Breakthroughs & Interactive Learning)

E班本学期完成了《中文》第二册第四、五课及第六课前半部分的教学。本学期的教学核心在于攻克写作与听力两大难点：

学以致用： 同学们能够熟练运用所学词汇进行造句及课文改写。教师特意将课文改编为针对性的听力材料，帮助学生理解词汇在不同语境下的深层含义。

成绩显著： 全班表现优异，大部分同学的生字听写正确率保持在 95% 以上。

互动课堂： 我们引入了“猜图竞赛、转盘游戏、中英互译、盲盒互动”等多种教学环节，极大提升了课堂的参与度与学习效率。

Focused on writing and listening. Most students achieved over 95% accuracy in dictation. Teachers used “Mystery Boxes” and “Translation Challenges” to keep the classroom highly engaging and efficient.

F 班：进阶学习与能力跃迁Class F (Advanced Learning & Progress)

本学期，F班在圆满完成阶段性复习后，正式开启了《轻松学中文》第一册第二单元的学习之旅，实现了教学内容的系统化进阶：

实用主题： 课程紧扣“时间与生活”，学生们掌握了数字、时钟表达、星期、日期及生日等实用性极强的中文表述。

能力飞跃： 经过一年的积累，全班同学在听写准确度、长句子表达以及自主阅读方面展现出了质的飞跃。

读写重点： 本学期针对十个核心汉字进行了深度听说读写训练，为接下来的中文学习奠定了文字功底。

Started Unit 2 of Easy Steps to Chinese. Students mastered practical themes such as time, dates, and birthdays. After a year of hard work, their ability to speak in long sentences and read independently has shown a significant leap.

校园文化活动Campus Cultural Events

“马到成功”迎新春： 2月21日（大年初五），校园张灯结彩。孩子们制作马年手工，家长们受邀品尝春卷等传统美食，共同打造了一个充满温情的社区文化节。

“Year of the Horse” Celebration: On February 21, the campus was beautifully decorated. Students created themed crafts, and parents joined us to enjoy spring rolls and traditional treats, creating a warm community atmosphere.

文化大讲堂： 2月14日，我们特邀英国威尔士大学汉学院的 Katherine Ngo 博士 为大家带来了《餐桌礼仪》专题讲座。博士结合其深厚的汉学研究背景，为孩子们打开了传统中国礼仪与启蒙教育的大门。

Cultural Lecture Series: On February 14, we were honored to host Dr. Katherine Ngo from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. She delivered a fascinating lecture on “Table Etiquette,” bridging traditional Chinese etiquette with modern education.
